This image was captured during a week long expedition through the Lofoten Islands. Having enjoyed three straight days of summer sunshine, the weather began to turn whilst hiking to a mountain lake. In a mater of moments, dark clouds rolled, the blue skies disappeared and a cold wind began to swirl. I turned around to see a huge flock of seagulls emerging from the valley below, flying with an eerie silence whilst their white wings beautifully contrasted against the foreboding peaks behind them.
