2024, Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
It was a warm afternoon in Hwange National Park, we were watching these elephants moving over the flood plains towards the waterhole. Elephants love water and in the dry winter months they get incredibly excited when they find it. So was the case here and they were running towards the waterhole, kicking up dust in a cloud around them.
With the setting sun behind them illuminating the dust, I purposely underexposed the image to create this silhouette effect and capture the golden colour of the dust.
