Reflections of Hope
2024, Etosha, Namibia
In the heart of Etosha, a black rhino stands in the middle of a waterhole, cooling its body and quenching its thirst. The still surface turns its horn into a perfect mirror, a fleeting moment of symmetry between strength and fragility.
Elsewhere in Africa, rhino horns are lost to poaching or removed in desperation to protect them. Here, the reflection tells another story, a reflection of hope that these animals can endure, intact and untamed, in one of their last strongholds.
