This image was taken in Phinda Private Game Reserve, South Africa
A personal note from the photographer: I took this image as a mixed art image which means I stitched together 2 HDR images. This is one of the dominant males of the North, and I will always remember the way he patrolled his territory. When 3 young males come into his territory, he alone managed to chase them off. That particular bravery and courage always stayed with me and this image is a testament to that. A dark storm that rolls in and conquers the entire area. It took me a very long time to find 2 compositions and similar lightning situations that match well together but eventually it was well worth the wait.
